Practice Tips

When you start to practice this lesson make sure you practice out of time. A metronome has its place in the practice room, after you have learned the lesson thoroughly. Work on a smooth transition from note to note.

Blues in the Key of A

Now we have a basic 12 bar Blues in the key of A major. The notation only shows the bass line in quarter notes, but you should also try mixing in swings 8th notes and triplets for variety.
