Harvey Brooks is an American bassist who has played in many styles of music (notably jazz and popular music), and was folk rock's first notable bass guitarist. His credits include recordings and performances with Miles Davis, Bob Dylan, The Electric Flag, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Richie Havens, The Fabulous Rhinestones, Seals & Croft, Donald Fagen and many many more.

Harvey Brooks now lives in Tucson, Arizona where he co-leads the 17th Street Band.
